What type of Gold African Bangle is this?

This was given to me by an older cousin when I was 10, she was sixty. She traveled to Africa and in her travels she bought this for me. I have saved it, worn it and I have to get it saudered back together because at one time when I took it to the jeweler they said it bent because its 24k gold that bends easily.
Can someone please tell me what TYPE of African bangle this is? I have search Ebay and Google for ever and can't figure out a value or what type of African bracelet/bangle this is. My cousin has passed away so its not like I can even ask her what country in Africa she bought this.
If anyone can help me I'd greatly appreciate it!!

I was born in West Africa, but I do not see any traditional markings other the the hash marks along the piece. I remember that Taureg tribe (Nomads of the Sahara Desert) were quite masterful in working with silver and gold, but there may no real way of knowing where in Africa it was made. You should find a reputable goldsmith to carefully repair it, and keep it as a rememberance of your cousin.
