What to look for in penny rolls

They are error cents that were struck on proof dies instead of regular ones for circulation. The easiest way to tell is the A and M in America will be spread apart, take a pre 1992 coin to compare. If it is an error the coin will look like the america in the pre 1992 coin and if not the A and M will be really close or almost touching. Most common is 1998 and rarest is 1999. I have pulled 3 98's 3 00's and no 99's. The 99's in bad circulated condition are worth an easy $50 and MS go for $500+. The 98's and 00's go for way less though.

Omg that much for a penny that new. Wow. When you say alot less whats guessimate on circulated condition at the LCS?

Like 2 or 3 bucks on eBay. If they are MS they are still worth a bit like $40 in MS63. I pulled in what my opinion is a MS64 2000 WAM (Wide AM), which is worth like $50. Although most of them you'll pull will be XF-AU. Any 99 WAM Is good. Also, it took me $200 searched to get my first WAM and then all of a sudden I started pulling them a lot more often. If you look for them, don't get discouraged if you don't find one for a while. You'll begin to feel like you are missing them, but it is really noticeable when you get one.

does anyone else put aside the 2009 life of lincoln pennies?

I do, only because I trade with people overseas who would be interested in getting them. Look for all of what was mentioned and proof cents.
