This rock with an etching in it is part of a ring of rocks. A huge flat rock sits on this circle of rocks. The huge flat but thick rock has arches carved out. Im thinking the arches are to use pivot rods or sticks to pivot that big rock off of this ring of rocks. An ancient mine shaft? A buried treasure? A covered kiva? A burial? An ancient well? There is also a triangle rock and a carved out small Boulder near it. I can't tell what is supposed to be. I took a pic but that didnt take too well. Its really hard to distinguish. Its in a ravine that is steep on one side. It has trees growing pretty close to it. Ithas marking on the huge rock including a triangle. The rock looks funny like its been painted on. My question to all is does anyone have a clue what this could be and what is the etching on this rock. Ill post more pics.

Hi mountain mama,
It may just be me...as this week on another post, I was refered to as having...Pareidolia!

Pareidolia
is the tendency for perception to impose a meaningful interpretation on a nebulous stimulus, usually visual, so that one detects an object, pattern, or meaning where there is none. Pareidolia is a type of apophenia.

The picture etched on the stone looks to me and my Thread as being a picture of Oak Island.
The TV program today is dealing with the Triangles on the island.
Remeber that Treasure Maps are noted for their Turtle Images (upside down ) or even inverted sketchings

Curious to know if you found this in the Boston area?
