I don't see shears Breezie. What sort of shears are you thinking?

I would like to see a pic of the item, fully closed and also to know if there is a space between the 2 'blades'?
My first thought, a leather working tool :dontknow:

BTW, Merry Xmas to you and yours and everyone else on T'Net.
As I write, I've already had a Family Xmas lunch and y'all haven't even opened your prezzies.

Cheers, Mike

Merry Christmas to all. No blade or sharp edge on these, so not likely to be shears. We just can't figure it out! Here's another angle.image.jpg

Beautifully contrasted with the granite.
I see a bad a$$ squid.
Ancient curling iron?
Sure hope it wasn't medical related!

Fish scaler and skinning pliers.

I agree with Matt, skinning pliers. Pinch to grab and teeth for the grip on the skins inner side. Used for deer, bear, or boars.

There are no markings at all. Does anyone have another example of this type of skinner if that's what it is? Thanks everyone.
