I was fortunate to gain a permission to hunt an 1850 parsonage. The present owner told me that it had been hunted a few years back without much success.
I've made two visits and have covered 50% of the front yard.
The usual clad, a few wheats, one 1911 V nickel, a sterling spoon handle and the mystery object. One side has a silver wash and the other still has some gilding in the design. There is no evidence of a pin back or any attachment. The design is rather detailed. It seems to be copper.
Any ideas?
Thanks for looking. 20190610_212701.jpg20190610_212626.jpg20190610_212446.jpg

Well It was made to be viewed from both sides.... so

The little hump in the center at the top where the nickel is... could that be a broken off attachment point??

All I have is it may have been a center blade for a high end wind chime...

Maybe the front off a chatelaine 'aide memoire' (notepad). Turn of the 20th C.
