Well since the woods are all over grown, we have to stick togeather to find places to hunt.

I'm not promising anything old, but I have found 1 wheat cent there. But 99.999999% clad from 2 to 4 inches and a hand full down 6 inches.

MMMMMMMMMM...... summer beers.........

it is mucho important to share.............and yes summer beers, much better than winter beer

I'm game! Those deepies are going to get it once I get there!!! :icon_pirat:

Now if you start finding Barbers and Indian Heads, I'm gonna shoot myself for giving away my site!!!!! :icon_pirat: LOL

I wish you all the luck in the world bud.

I'll settle for a dozen wheaties, a couple of Indians and a barber or two! :tongue3:

Sat. 83 deg. and Sun. 85 deg. both days supposed to be partly cloudy. That sounds perfect weather for LOOTING!!!!!! Let me know what day you guys can go. Or if you want to go both days thats fine with me. Its like 1 mile from my house. Oh yea, I won't hunt it anymore until the weekend.

Yep, sounds like a winner but again I'm wussied on Saturday and a only hopeful on Sunday this week.

It looks like its just gonna be us 2 bud. The cool thing is that we arn't to far from Gene & Judes hotdogs!!!! MMMMMMMMMMM...........

So is anybody going to showup? If not I am going to start to clean the place up starting Sat. morning then again on Sunday morning. Its an easy place to get you clad count up, and who knows whats under the modern coinage... You have to dig them first to find out.

I might be able to make it over there, but I've got a kindergarten graduation to attend and then I'm probably going to hit some yard/garage/rummage sales. I picked up a Sun-Ray DX-1 probe for the M6 and would like to test it out some more. PM me w/ the location and I'll try to make it. Thanks.

Joe

Thanks for sharing, Treasurefiend. I gotta stay close to home this weekend & can't make it.

Looks like a great site for picking up clad. I'm all for instant gratification....

Well I'm back after only 1.5 hours hunt...... Its like a blast furnace out there!!!!!!! It was already 77 degrees by 10am & super humid. I should of gone to the beach instead of to a forest preserve/ park!!!!!! But I managed to snag 43 coins for $4.49.

quarters - 13
dimes - 10
nickels - 1
pennies - 19

You know, I think I will go to the beach tomorrow and try my luck. Goio, what are you doin tomarrow?

Fiend,

This may be late, but I've got the morning free tomorrow. I'll try to hit the beach too, maybe some of the grass area too. I always see hundreds of people playing soccer there, but I'll bet there's tons of junk too. I'll bring out the Ace for the venture...I don't think the M6 will be necessary as most finds should be relatively shallow. Hope to see you! And any others that can and do show up.

Joe

Well, I stopped by the beach this morning to discover that the beach is almost totally clean. Not even much junk. I was there for about 15 minutes. I also stopped by Welles Park on the way home to hit the tot lot. NOTHING. That tot lot is always bustling with people, and I've always wanted to detect it. Today was a good opportunity, as there was no one there. I saw lots of signs that someone had been there not too long before me. Hope he/she did well! Should have, that place is huge.

So I went out and got my fishing permit. I'm gonna try to hook a largemouth or two later.

Fiend, hope you did better than me today! Grand total of 13 cents, woo-freakin' hoo. It costs 13 cents in gas just to back out of my parking space at the beach these days...

Joe

Hey Joe, did okay at Welles Park last year on one stop there. Lottsa pocket change that day, think it was a Thurs or Fri. Gotta think someone local cleans it wekly or bi-monthly as there wasn't anything deep at all in the playground.

What beach did you hit? I remember one day a couple years ago going in to the NAB and seeing two women with their md's leaving compaining about nothing being there, it was only about 5:30 a.m. and I wasn't wasting the drive so I hit it and did great that day.

Used to like it a lot better before they put in all those gates and parking fee collectors. Gotta make the min. $10 parking price and the gas money now, buzzkill park people.
