Thanks a bunch guys! :thumbsup: I will tell him the news. I guess he got several of these out of the garbage. Said a guy was throwing out old tools. Can always depend on someone here to help.

It did look like it at first glance, then after a closer look I realized it wasn't. I've tagged many a ear, so I know the difference. I guess those fellas got it right on the saw tooth set...probably got one out in the workshop.

ah tip off should have been he was throwing out OLD TOOLS * -- saw tooth setter --helps keep saw teeth for wood cutting saws in proper alinement so they cut correctly --when the teeth spread too far open they drag and cut poorly --too close and they also cut poorly -- the angle must be just right. great ID guys
