The closest I could find is a 1933 Oldsmobile hood ornament, but it's still not an exact match, tail is a little longer compared to the wings, the wings at the body are a bit different and thinner, but it mounts very much the same as the one you found, it has a base plate and a single mounting point to the plate.

I'm gonna investigate this when everyone around this house stops needing me every other second , lol. Mine alot flatter too.

Yes. Lol. Is the quarter worth more than 25 cents?

At the very least the melt value of the silver content is $4.33 at today's spot silver prices.

Coin Values for US Coins

As a collectible coin it is worth $6 and up depending on the mintmark and condition, post a picture of both sides of the quarter and a better estimate of it's value can be determined.

I think the mint value dropped , when I dremiled washington's hair off the top ... And melt value dropped 25 cents... Lol. . Whoops . Glad a quarter from the 40's was my first silver find and not 1800's coin.
What's the proper way to clean a coin?

Ultrasonic jewelry cleaner if it's silver, very old copper coins with layers of corrosion needs to be soaked in olive oil, don't ever rub any coins to get the dirt or corrosion off or you could devalue the coin.

WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T USE A DREMEL TOOL ON ANY COINS.....oooh, I see I said that too late!!! :tongue3: :laughing9:
