What operating system should i use on my Legend.

I have had this legend since it came out. I updated it about a month after i got it. Now i am wondering what O S should i try on it. I have been using my other detectors and have not used the legend yet I know sad

You mean which update version? I have a barely used Legend myself either no time or horrid weather. Main swing is D2. My legend is on 1.11
Main coil lg 24.

And from scorpions, yesterday emerged one from a hole that I was diging.
I always use gloves.

Is there any wild animals considered a risk when you are detecting?

it is a couple of minutes to install 1.11, try the machine and if you still like your other machines sell it. but at least swing it once so you know if you don't like it. or run it ith the current program and then decide.

Gare, what version of the software was loaded on your Legend when you bought it.? Although it would be much more capable with the latest 1.11 version, there is no reason you can't try it out with whatever version it now has. That would be step one. Maybe watch Quarter Hoarder's video on how to set up the Legend the way you like it. Then make your judgement call on whether you want to download the latest software version, which is easily done on your home computer, or sell. Looks like you have enough there to be able to make a pretty knowledgeable comparison.

Sounds like the best choice for you. Always a good idea to use the tool that let's you do your best. Maybe that will be the right one for someone else and you'll have contributed to that success.

I've been having the same thought about the EQ900. The Legend and the EQ900 in most respects are equal but I really like the 15x12 and the 10x5 coils for the 900 so that's enough for me to keep it. But the Legend does outperform the 900 in high EMI and heavy iron. Lately, I've been starting out with the 900, but I always re-check with the Legend or the Deus 1 before I change sites. The good targets in iron and EMI stand out much better with the Legend and the Deus 1. Where I can go deeper in quieter environments, the 900 is pulling good targets.
