I sit here reading once again shacking my head at something that has been posted up because the person has no real idea on what it is, and everyone states what it is, and the person argues with the general consensus of what it actually is. Why do they post it up in first place?

Charlie nailed it on why lead can reflect or have a rainbow appearance on the surface. Why do I know? Because when I first got into placer mining I came upon mineral specimens that had flakes and areas that appeared to reflect a golden and or rainbow color spectrum. After a little research I found that it was lead galena ora.
