I have a curtain that i bought from a garage store..3 curtain but meter long is not desame..each side of the curtain fold into 1 part and the upper part was also desame but lower part was folded into 3 folds..from the lower part i have found the 6 small rectangle metal.
The 6 metal is crystalic and soft and inconsistent of its hardness and color sometimes its color gold..grey,blue.
The hook is hard not same as the recrangle.but it has desame changes of color of the rectangle metal.

The sash weights are probably lead - maybe a lead alloy. Relatively pure lead will bring around $0.60/pound, but things like wheel weights only $0.30/pound.

The curtain hooks are likely a carbon steel that has been chromed or tinned.

If its only curtain weight why it shines like almost a rainbow sometimes it will be blue red and pink or green.?

Because of the impurities in the lead. Tin, antimony, arsenic, etc.

I cast lead for muzzleloading and molten lead is beautiful with an iridescent sheen. Just after casting the lead balls are as shiny as silver. Anything reflective will absorb and split the wavelengths of light and appear to show different colors. It's just more noticeable on a smooth, mirrorlike surface. When new or later polished up it shows it again until the oxygen and sulfur in the air darkens it.

What about small txt that looks like a latin sometimes i can see a form of animals i cant see it cleary because its reAlly tiny.
Before i polished the hook and the metal it really looks old and very grey but i can see still color blue.green,pink and gold

They used lead weights in curtains to hold down the lead has impurities as Charlie said so other colors can be present.and the others are curtain hooks if you don't believe take to a jeweler but be prepared for real disbelieving looks as to why you brought them lead and curtain hooks.

Its what ever you belive i remember your other posts claiming all the platnuim you found. You obivously dont want anyones opinion unless they agree with you. And the fact you have curtain hooks and what everyone is telling you about curtain weights dont much matter. I guess its all dasame

The melting point of Platinum is 3215 degrees Fahrenheit and the melting point for lead is 621.5 degrees Fahrenheit, so if you can melt it with a soldering iron or propane torch, from hardware store you have lead.Also in the second reply on page 1 of this post you stated the metal is soft, well lead has a 1.5 level of hardness and Platinum has a hardness of 3.5, you also can check all of this on the internet so IMO you are wasting our time because you ask questions, but don't want to hear the truth, you want it to be some hidden treasure.I'm out of this wild goose chase.
