But Pete, the tracks I posted are raised like the dirt has been kicked up
Well I can say this I've never seen a crawfish barrow through mud like that. They do dig holes straight down and leave a chimney looking hole.Which are much bigger looking then that.bigcypresshunter said:Small crawdad sounds good because I see them in the dried up swamp all the time.
One day hunting in my treestand, I watched a hawk dive to ground all day long and scoop up crawdads and eat them up in his tree. Free food all day and easy pickins.![]()

I have seen those too lol. All the time. (I didnt mean to imply that I saw the hawk pull crawdads out of this track) I thought it sounded good but Ill go back to my original guess of insect or water bug. :PTimekiller said:Well I can say this I've never seen a crawfish barrow through mud like that. They do dig holes straight down and leave a chimney looking hole.Which are much bigger looking then that.bigcypresshunter said:Small crawdad sounds good because I see them in the dried up swamp all the time.

You could be right. I have seen these and I have seen the crawdad holes all the time hiking the dry swamps. Wild hogs love to dig them up. I just always thought they were some kinda water bug but worm sounds good. Ill be following this post to see if you are correct.Timekiller said:I think the path/tunnel/burrow speaks for itself. All one has to do is look at how the thing comes in & out of the ground & follow the S shaped path it made. Also worms come to surface after rains,to mate or gather water for there skin or they will dry out & die.![]()
