Sold my first 2 items today. First was a pair of women's shorts, the buyer lives in N.D. I guess she's getting prepared for summer, lol. The 2nd was a Rookwood vase. Here is a pic of the vase.

I bought a gold fill bracelet in original box in a box of jewelry for $30 on New Years Day and sold it on the 2nd for $80! There was over 11grams of 14k solid gold in the box as well! I think everyone was hung over or something.

Better late than never! Sold a 0.8 gram 14K dainty chain that I had overpaid spot @ $25.00 total for. Sold for $55 last night.

Sold my math book that I used last quarter at school for $27.99 plus $5.23 shipping. Considering I bought it for about $12, I don't know of many other college students actually making money on their textbooks :icon_thumleft:

Confederate ambrotype, portrait, letter, medal and powder flask. Listed it at .99 (first time I've done that), sold last night for $710.00.

For some reason, picture won't load, but you can see it under ebay "Confederate ambrotype."

I have been really busy at work so I have not been listing much, but I just sold a Tivo HD I originally picked up new and factory sealed for only $11.99. I love it when a thrift store lets something slip by like that. My wife wanted to try it out, and then did not want it. Breaking the seals really cut the resale and it was a 2007 model, but I still made good money on it. May the rest of the year be good for all of us!

Well, my first sale of the year has just turned into my first eBay case of the year, and will turn into my first return/refund of the year. The buyer is upset that he has been having trouble interfacing with his cable company ... May no one else have a crappy start of the year like I have! It can only go uphill from here, baby! :)

Been selling off my own personal stuff on Ebay for years but just decided that since I'm running out of things to sell I would give a shot at buying for resale. It will be a learning experience knowing what to buy so I just buy things I like in case I get stuck with them. Now that I'm retired I have too much spare time on my hands. Might as well make a couple bucks if I can. Where do you find the best deals ? First sale of 2014 with something I bought for resale was this Lifesavers 1 gallon apothecary jar. Paid $15 and it sold for $45. Any tips from you veterans for a guy just getting into the reselling thing ? Do you do better with an Ebay store or the regular format auctions ? Fixed price or take your chances ? I have always done the auction style with my bare minimum as the opening bid and no reserve. Been selling stuff off and on since 99 but always willing to learn new things. Got the wife into it as well since she inherited about 300 antique straight razors that we have no interest in keeping. She's been running a few auctions every week and done fairly well with them.

I just sold a mens leather Harley Davidsons piston vest for $130. I listed it at $85 after looking at all the other ones and the final price came in the last 20 minutes. Not bad for something I found in the garage of a vacant house

My first item was a brand new sealed casio prizm color graphing calculator. I bought it at an auction for $10 and sold it for $90 on the eBay.
