🔎 UNIDENTIFIED What Is This?

Does anyone know what this is? I got it with a bunch of random vintage military patches and pins. There were many duplicates of this same item in the lot.

I’m not sure if it is military related or not. I believe it is a hinge of some sort, possibly one you can rivet on an access or service door of a light aircraft, but that is just a guess. Does anyone know what it is? Any help is appreciated!

What is a pin hinge and what did it go on?

Mmmk ... i just tried to find an example and am seeing that i may be calling it something its not.
Cant seem to remember the exact term /name for this item.
I tried several different searches to no avail as well.
I have seen this item before or very similar on opening items / gate if not mistaken.
A pin goes through it when two pieces come together.
You have one half.

AND... there is the possibility i am completely off altogether.

Good luck ... i will bow out at the moment to allow others to dig this one now.
