Hey, I was digging on a farm in north Devon (uk) and came across this metal object, (I'm guessing some kind of tool?) can you help me identify it, I haven't started cleaning it up yet. Thanks in advance!

Without the size everything is just a guess. I'll guess cultivator tooth or butt plate for a rifle ?
