Dug this up at the park today this park was a Army Fort during the Civil War n Washington State after the Civil War a mental hospital was built there but later moved across the street which is now Western State Mental Hospital it's a big Park I have no idea what this is there is writing on it but it's mostly letters and numbers not words 20160514_181018.jpg20160514_181018.jpg20160514_181009.jpg

I can't make out the lettering from the pics. Can you pass on what it says line by line?

it is several patent numbers on a piece of cast metal. could be from a toy, a lawn mower, an old carburetor, or just about anything. if you can post a good clear close up of the numbers, we can most likely tell you what it is from

Great work Jeff. It appears to be about 7-9 different patent numbers. I think the first 5 numbers start with 15 or 16. For example one number 4th row down, on the right, underlined, looks like patent number 1,507,370. This would be a 1924 patent date. Patent/Date Chart The 6th line down looks like patent dates.

Yep, I'd say the 6th line ends 1925,26,27

though the 1925 could be 1923

lots of possibilities. maybe 1583320, 1587320. But Im worried that with so many patents, this could be a small unrecognizable item, from a large piece of machinery.
Utility Patents are only good for so many years (maybe 15-20) so we can date the item as late 1920s- 1940s
