A lot of U S troops trained under Patton for desert warfare in WW 2 an there are/were many locations were his camps were.

You did not give its location but if it is located north of Inter State 8, north of the Gila River and north of Dateland, it is probably a Patton camp.

You maybe right. It's in the area of camp Bouse.
 

It is a practice site for bombing runs used during WWII. I live in Lea County, New Mexico and if you use Google Earth you can see several of these. Many have Swastikas and some are shaped like boats or docks or bunkers. In some of these locations here you can still find old practice bombs, usually just cement or cement filled steel. Although recently one was found with an unexploded charge inside of it that was supposed to blow out white powder on impact so the bombers could see where they hit.
 

This is clearly where Indiana Jones battled the Nazi's for the Arc of the Covenant.
