What is this rock?

I got these wierd rocks at a garage sale and was curious what they are. The woman said her dad had them in an aquarium and he was a rockhound so she didnt want to toss them in the field out back. Some one may want them and her father would likely prefer it that way. Unfortunately she didnt know much else. I purchased a group of them. Go easy on me Im new!

The rock resembles a piece of flowstone that I have seen in caves and caverns. Like stalactites and stalacmites, flowstone is also made of dissolved calcite in water that splatter-drips across a flat angled surface, depositing the calcite sediment. Over hundreds of years, the flowstone accumulates. Sometimes dust gets in the flowstone and causes the bumpy textures as the flowstone grows, or sometimes just caused by changes in the splatter pattern. -Rolfecat
