Found this yesterday at an old farm, almost destroyed it, left side anchor holding on for dear life.
No clue what it is, made of copper.

So the granddaughter of the permission wants me to give it to her, so she can gift it to her Pop-Pop.
I’m gonna give it up, but I told her I wanna get it identified.

Nice find buddy!

Very cool find! Can’t wait to find out what it is!

Very nice find, Dave! Good luck with the ID. Thanks for sharing with us and I look forward to more information about it.

So far I got nothing....
Suppose by next weekend I’ll bump it into the “what is it” forum.

Can't help on the ID. But nice patriotic themed relic. Kind of you to give it to the land owner. That should generate a lot of goodwill.

No sense in keeping it if I don’t know what it is....

I've spent a considerable amount of time off and on searching the net to try to help you ID this thing and I have come up with nothing. I do feel it is most likely a civilian patriotic item. My gut tells me Span-Am war period.

It is a Navy insignia missing the eagle and the top of the anchor.

Thanks for looking, this has been a tough one
