Found this on a historic property here in west Chester Ohio. I pretty sure it's brass. Maybe part of a horse bridle? The house on this property was known at "the twenty mile house" in 1806 because it was 20 miles to Dayton by horseback. The spot where I found this is where horse drawn wagons pulled up and stopped on the way to Dayton.
