Interesting rock found in a creek. Eastern KY. Very flat on the bottom but top side has grooves. Artifact or just a rock?

it looks like a plain rock to me also.
guessing, it looks like sedimentary stone of an ancient water way beach area where wave action has occurred. These small waves left the ripples on the beach area which over time hardened, compressed and meta-morphed into stone.

Too blurry to see, but I'd guess it's sedimentary.
Looks (to me) like water dripped/ran/trickled over it (in varying amounts) for a long time, and then something (seismic, frost, clumsy bear...) caused the top to shear off. Especially since it was found in a creek.
