It says “ Rich Gilt Colour” image.jpg, no designs on the front, I find these buttons a lot and I’m wondering how old they are.
 

due to the "puff term" wording early 1800's would be my guess say 1820 /30 era --likely british due to the u in colour --their called "flat buttons" and are often plain fronted with no design .... to get one with the attachment shank intact is a big plus -- gilt was basically like gold plating -- there are double and even triple gilt --plated means silver plated --
