I thought this would be an easy one to figure out, but cant find anything similar. This was an old house/farm site. First thought was some type of gun sheath, but Im lost. Looks to be made of brass, roughly 17.5" long and 3 3/4" in center. Thanksfor the look

I agree with the "down spout" also known as a leader most likely a round one

I thought roof flashing until I noticed it was seamed for a pipe or downspout not just flat piece of copper.
