I bought my detector in hopes of hunting our 80 acres in Delhi NY! That ground is tough to dig. Just picked up my first detector. Been at it a couple weeks. Hope to get up to the Catskills before the ground freezes.

Hey! We were just up in Delhi two weeks ago doing the Catskill rails-to-trail path on the old Ulster & Delaware bed. Stopped in a a good pub in Delhi: O'Neil's Shire Pub. The Founders Dirty ******* ale is Terrific!

It wasn't espressly forbidden. ;-) I'd do some research to see where the old stations were. If you've ever detected old railroad beds you can go insane with the iron scrap and slag bits.
