I dont know how it could be a crocs tooth, it was found in ohio. thirty7 I dont believe its hematite its not heavy enough.
 

Archer the piece is solid thats what makes me think that it is not bone or a spur, it is conical but it is only 3/4 of an inch long.
 

Need better pics of the flat end-I don't think a spur would survive all these years because they are made of collagen and would decay like claws and nails
