What is it worth?

I have this 1865 signed Hunzinger rocking chair. I have found some information on the maker but I'm not sure of it's value, other than just imagining all of the stories told from those who sat in it. (Which, by the way, is amazing to think of in itself. )

Welcome From New York! :hello: Looks damaged right? Missing a piece top left? I would imagine original finish and condition are important. I wouldn't buy something like this, but I can't wait to see some of the estimates! :skullflag:

Thank you! Yes, the one piece is missing. Other than that, it is solid and everything is original. I'm sorry for the double posting. This is my first time on here. :)

Welcome to TNet. I see omly half of a damaged rocker(?) and the upholstery doesn't look original. The piece is damaged and there are questions. What are the joints like? Any more damage. These are not rare. Better antique stores will have them. I had a couple over the years in our shop. Kind of hard to sell. Check ebay or Craigslist. Or go antique hunting. Like Mr. Soloman, I would hesitate to purchase this. Need a pic of signature, tag or whatever. Sorry...
