obx finds 2015 001.JPGobx finds 2015 004.JPGobx finds 2015 007.JPG Found on the outer banks of North Carolina. Washer is copper and appears to be poured into a mold. One side is smooth and concave shaped and the other appears as rough casting. File marks on edges to clean sides. Hole is hand filed clear.Spike is steel and almost gone. Both found close to each other. sides reflect a pattern that would make it appear to be a pole or post attachment, but no scuff marks as for a nut or bolt head. Any suggestions?

Are there threads in the center hole? Like it being a square brass nut.

No threads. The hole has file marks in it where looks like was filed clean after pouring. This thing was found almost 8 inches down in the sand.
