I found these boards at the sangamon river. They have tons of square headed nails. Also are the strange holes off to one side. Down stream from this location I have found a small wooden flat bottom skiff boat approx. 6 ft' long shallow also with square headed nailes "the boat appears to be 1830-1870 but these boards appear to be much oldedr but IDK...thanks

First thing popped in my head was part of a platform or landing the boat belonged too ??? like a river crossing with a pull-along boat

I found some large heavy waterlogged shipwreck timbers after a hurricane and they dried up as light as a feather and disentegrated.

I have a similar piece of driftwood that survived. if I get a chance Ill look for it. Mine has holes I always thought was from a barbwire fence.
