Steve that is a interesting piece, :icon_thumright: you look at it one way it look's like a hafted scraper :wink:,then you look at another way and it look's like a corner tang :wink:That is a head scratcher. :dontknow:
 

Id say hafted scraper,looks as if that would be the most practical use for it ,unless it was a start to an eccentric?
 

I think most corner and mid back tang knives are Archaic, do you think it's an older piece or associated with your Mandan material? If it's Mandan, I'd go with a salvaged piece that was notched for use as a scraper.

Whatever it is, it is frame-worthy.
