What detector do you use?

To Aussie Okie, where did you get your Ace...I paid 230.00 for mine, geez. I use a Garrett 500 ( have had it for 12 years...takes a licking and keeps on ticking) and bought the Ace for back up; and grandkids. That way I do not have to take time about when they detect with me, or fight over whose turn it is !!

I got it on eBay, in the description it said it had been used twice.
I contacted the guy to see if it still had any warranty etc and he told me it still had the full warranty and actually it was brand new.
He said he is a Garrett agent and wasn't allowed to sell on eBay etc for less than $212 so he put it up as 'used'.
I'll let you know if it is a winner when I get it, it sure looks brand new in box.

I use a Goldscan 5 - a PI build by Eric Foster. Troy Shadow X5 (When is the X-7 coming out Troy?). I also use a Whites's GMT. ( I am not counting the old detectors I have in my closet which I no longer use anymore).

I use a Compadre as my primary machine and a Tiger Shark as my backup/water machine. Both are made by Tesoro.

I am only about 1 month into the hobby. I use a White's XLT. I even hunted in the dark once with it already! It worked fine, but I was disoriented! I have a Radio Shack Discovery2, but wouldn't bother bringing it as a back up. Still need to get a pin-pointer.
