What color pan?

What color pan is better for seeing gold? I use a green pan. Is it better than a black pan? History of the Gold pan

Still have 4 ol' metal pans, well seasoned every winter, set with sand in them just outside the door and used as a privy (while smoking); we're talking in the 70's. By spring, would hold gold better than any plastic plate (any colour). Just me say'n tho

I use my green pan for black sands & the black pan for samples with very little or no black sand
