Actually have 2, but the Garrett Ace 250 is my favorite, so that's what I submitted. Also use a Minelab XTerra 70, which is great for small jewelry with the 5x10DD coil.
I have three whites, Now i have switched to Tesoro. Have a dealer thats only five miles from me. He is Top notch with how twos with any of the Detectors he sells. The Lifetime warranty on All Tesoros cant be beat. His Demos also carry a Lifetime warranty.
I started with a Whites 5900 Di in about 1973 or 4. In 1982 I bought a Whites 6000D and then in 1991 I bought my Whites Eagle II SL 90. This is the same detector I search with to this day. I've enjoyed everyone of my Whites detectors. Whites makes one heck of a machine. I swear by Whites and that will be my next machine when I add on. I need to get a backup detector.
I use a Garrett Grand Master Hunter CXIII Most of the time its running great, it depends on the strength of the batteries, but every once in a while this detector can be full blown retarded, false signals every where you turn, for me it works best in wet to moist soil, completely bone dry is so-so, in gravel you have to swing very slowly, or you will get false signals Thank you for reading and Good Luck on your MDing endevers.
I have a Bounty Hunter Big Bud Pro SED, also a Treasure Baron(Cobra II), Sea Ray(Underwater),
an old Radio Shack I started out with in 1980. Also have had Fisher 1225, Garrett BFO, White's
surfmaster, Discovery 3300,and Bounty Hunter 840(as a back up). Enjoyed them all.
