Good Evening, Morning and Afternoon Everyone!

This evening from about 8:00pm to 9:00pm I had the pleasure to hunt a construction site in my area. The construction site is on the site of very large house from the turn of the century. For the past several decades another newer building has sat in its place, however when it was torn down I saw a golden opportunity to find some very interesting things, hopefully! After getting permission from the property owner to metal detect I went to work despite it being late, as I knew this had the potential to be a very good site. After about twenty minutes of digging I got a very nice signal on the AT Pro that displayed as a mid 80's target. After locating the target with my pin pointer I didn't know what I had found, and still don't for that matter. The object which was square and gilded brass as it appeared had a broken loop at the top and odd striations on the back. I assume it is some sort of medallion however I don't know, thus any help with identification would be splendid.
