I found these 2 items on my property. The first item is heavy, possibly brass? Has screw threads on bottom and holes in the finial- almost like a garden sprayer nozzle. Both items found where a lot of pre-civil war items have been unearthed.
The second item will stick to a magnet and is very heavy for it’s size. Has a flat spot on it. Our soil has a lot of mica hence shiny properties. I wondered if it had a stalk attached at one time? It is definitely iron based. I live in upstate SC
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone

I saw an old flagpole once with a finial type top with a hole through it for the rope. It was a long time ago and way up in the air but it somewhat resembled your object.

Interesting….. would have never crossed my mind about a flagpole. Thank you for your input. I will look into it

Parasol spire shaped cap nut w/side hole for hanging up.
Have you seen one before? I did find another item that an archeologist that came out to my property thought was part of a parasol or umbrella. I know nothing about them- do you think this other item is labeled correctly? That spire is pretty heavy for it’s size. But would make sense to have a hole for hanging up. Thank you so much for taking time to reply

The first item could be a tooth from a digger/trencher? The holes would be for coolant or water? Welcome to Tnet
