What are these two very old hammered coins?

These were purchased and came from coastal Georgia some time ago. I can see crowns on both, and for the second picture I flipped them 180 degrees hoping to find what end is up. They are VERY thin and the one is dime sized, the other slightly larger, like a nickel. Thanks. You'll need to use the zoom feature to look closer.

they look English, around 1100 AD. You should message Crusader and have him take a look

Funny that, I was just about to say they look Spanish to me, but you have sorted it already.

I did get back from the coin dealer. He also ID's them from Ferdinand and Isabella. They did not have actual dates on them but are paper thin. I'll research now that I have something to go on.

Very cool. There was a Spanish presence here in Georgia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_missions_in_Georgia, but Spanish coins kind of went everywhere.

History teacher, you are correct. I was talking to the coin dealer, he told me a story where one day he was coming inside for fussing in the garden a bit, he was dressed up. Well, he was wearing cufflinks made of Roman denarius. When he got back in the house, one of the denarius had come off the link, and is now lost. Now its waiting for one of us to find it and wonder "how did that get here"?
