I went to a private beach I was at yesterday doing wet sand and there was a nice through I wanted to hunt. Got thee today and it was gone. I drove down the road about 5 miles to hunt a spot that the surf is usually brutal but have found gold. WOW, with the minus tide and NW wind it was flat as a pound. I have NEVER seen like this since I have been hunting there. It is very difficult hunting there because of the rocks and gravel but I was able to use my sifter today because of the calm conditions. Looks at my junk pile, the good finds to junk ratio is unbelievable, ( at least to me ). There were so many targets I was passing on because I was overwhelmed. I was so beat-up after three hours I just plain couldn't hunt anymore. The digging is horrendous. I left with the tide at it's lowest, not a breath of wind, and the fish still biting. I sure wish I had a partner with me today because I don't know if I'll ever see it like that again. If I wasn't using a sifter I would have about half the finds....just to time consuming looking through the gravel and rocks. The ring is 10K and 4.60g. The large religious metal is sterling and was a cookie before it was cleaned. It appears to be of an older variety. Thanks for looking.
