went down to the river today to put my dredge in the water and make sure every thing is working good before i head out west to Nevada to my land and then on to the Payyet river in Idaho.i wasint expecting to find anything so after dredging for a hr are so decided the machine was running like a champ and no problems with it. i did a clean up and the sluice was full of heavy pyrite and black sand i got it all carpet cleaned up and started the panning everything down and what do u know i actually had some gold in the pan knot a lot 5 nice flakes and one bb size piece of white quarts with a piece of gold on it. what is so surprising is the amount of clear quarts and milky white quarts that i dredged up along petrafide wood.welp eny ways it was fun to get out and have some fun and to find a few flakes of gold.

5 flakes, a nugget, and a day outdoors, PRICELESS!

RANGER 31, nicely done - got the dredge checked out, had a good time in the water out in the open and amazingly came up with some home town gold. Now on to the next adventure, best of success with it, drive safe and enjoy yourself even more..............................63bkpkr

SO cool, after seeing them gators and playing in the water with a huge seething mass of water moccains I swore never to go into Louisiana waters again. Glad ya got some, never would a even thought to look there-John

Congrats Ranger it's that a Proline? Good luck on your trip be safe.

John I don't like the cotton mouths or the copper heads we have them both along with alligator gar. Will defently make you keep your eyes open.
The cotton mouth pic is one I almost steped on the copperhead pic my buddy almost walked into. In the river

Yet another reason I moved back out west to stay. At least out here the poisonous snakes come with a built in alarm system! It may not always work but at least it's there!
