Man I sure got a good taste of how luck it was to get that half dime Bust. I dug nothing and I mean NOTHING but falsing iron. IMG_0012.JPG

Wait in did find something interesting....well more interesting than iron. It’s a piece of lead with 3 lines and a hole in it. Any idea? Maybe just a craved fishing weightIMG_0012.JPGIMG_0012.JPGIMG_0012.JPGIMG_0012.JPG

Well, at least you now know what's there and what's not there...I would have bet that you'd uncover at least one more silver hiding amongst all that iron... Ddf

Trash happens. I have no doubt you will find more silver.:icon_thumright:

Your just "prepping" the area for the next hunt! :icon_thumleft: There is silver waiting your coil! :occasion14:

I think that lead thingie goes on a medium sized battery for use as a terminal.

You keep digging all that iron Truth and eventually there shouldn't be anything left but good stuff!!! "D"

What I like is going behind folks who swear up and down the place is hunted out! ROFL at THAT kind of comment. This last year has probably been my best EVER. (I'm taking off for the heat stroke weather we're having right now.)

I dig a lot of Fur Trade sites and If I found that lead, it would certainly be an indian pendant made from musket ball lead. I don't know the history of your site but like I said it would be a keeper and would date from 1680-1804 ..

My 2 cents .. JIm

Some days you do a lot of work for almost nothing, but if you are digging all the iffy signals eventually one of them will be a real beauty.

Keep swingin. The good stuff is out there.
