Well guys man and his new subdivision has finally taken my dream spot.

I knew it was getting close but today was the day. I did get to detect the outskirts but today it’s officially over. The Max did great on some tiny buttons one with some gilt, minie ball etc. I will be able to move down from this spot but this was the pay dirt spot. Nothing last forever. The one with the gilt

At least you were able to hunt there for a while. Enjoy the finds you did make. I think we've all had that happen at one time or another. I was killing it at a local park last year where they were moving dirt and putting in new benches etc. Havent found a thing since they came in and did the final grade. It was nice while it lasted.

Change is sad in many ways

I lost one of my favorite CW hunting sites years ago not to development, but to a High crime rate. Murders occur here every week. Sickening.

Loosing a great spot always hits hard! Had a really great spot ,it got sub divided and sold. I new what was there by the burial points I would find and a really good cellar hole that had been covered up. Basement sat half finished for 6 mons. while the museum looted every thing. Probly in a box in the basement never to se the light of day

Oh don’t get me started there. The Treme is the oldest part of Town in New Orleans and these thugs rob and kill each other every day. I’d be dead and my detector would be at the pawn shop in a New York minute. It’s bad in all the oldest parts of Nola. Thugs have the best ground and too stupid to know it.

Over here in Louisiana all the good CW locations were bought up my the Feds.

I've hit some 'Hood's got ran off from a permission by a 'Up all night' Drunken Thug Neighbor . I did not have my 'Heat' & usually the Good guy's go to Jail.

Hell instead of buying a rock ill give the Main man a $20 to let me park & detect a wooded area near the Houses , but that's where all the 50 years of trash is to.

Cruzed "the Bluffs" Atlanta's Heroin spot since the 1970's , I had the Hommie's pointing me where to go , I did not want to score + The Red Dog's were not far behind me . I could have went to jail just for riding through the area W/O good reason.

I obsess over it but I’m not comfortable and my xds . 45 in the truck what go does that do me. And I know the one liberal family that may live there for some moronic reason sure ain’t gonna come help. There’s this one park I discovered in in the 3rd Ward rough area. A guy that I had just met he puts a ads in the newspaper for Los jewelry and so forth. While these liberals needed to know where one of their sewer cover was, so I went with him and they lived across the street from the virgin park I’m sure. When I brought up the park they happen to mention that six months ago they SAW 7 people shot there during the day... it’s right across the street from their house which they were STILL fixing up to MOVE IN!!!.....and all I can think of when I was staring at them ( the girlfriend had armpit hair) was what the hell you still doing here!!!!! Lmao

I’ve still yet to go to that park, that was last year , but I still think about it all the time.

P.S. And no I can’t get a CCP because 14 years ago in order to get into a rehab hospital for free I had to tell them I wanted to kill myself. So that red flags me.

It’s starting big time around my area. I live of a old 2 lane hwy and the guys are settling the wire flags up and the engineers are measuring it up to make it bigger. Here they come!

washingtonian I went today to a old spot of mine and got 2 wheat cents. I remember when that was a decent day for me back in the day, but coming off that 100% uncut bucket lister honey hole I’m having withdrawals and depression. Withdrawals suck.

I feel for ya, and I know what you mean about losing the spot. I had one too, it was an old school. Right under our noses here in the City did my sweet spot sit, and sure people hunted it, and some found a few goodies, but I always found Silver there and lot's of other great finds, until! Until they (The City), paved over my spot with asphalt... I was sick to my stomach knowing that I would never see that dirt again, and no one will for years to come.

Progress is painful sometimes! I'll shed a few tears for you, GL & HH
