Welcome to the site! Please post an introduction thread.

Hi still digger in pa.
Any one out there know what is going on with lost treasure mag?
Been with them 6yrs.paid up for next 2yrs not books.
Last one was Dec. they don't answer phone or e-mail.
As per Steve Herschbach
“Everyone who got the December 2018 issue of Treasure Magazine has a collector edition since it is apparently the last one. The magazine has been published in various forms for over 50 years. Unfortunately the company has closed its doors and both the website and Facebook page are gone. Sad to see another part of detecting history fade away”.

Hi Paul, I'm Colin from England. Really sorry but I'm so not meant to touch technology, its took me all day to get this far let alone know how to introduce myself. I have a couple of questions I'd like to ask but unsure how to go about it.

Greetings all,
I am a recently retired Connecticut State Trooper and needed another hobby. I was introduced to metal detecting by a friend and now I am addicted. At 57 years old, I wish I had gotten into this earlier. I currently alternate between the Equinox 800 and the Racer 2. I have four favorite finds: my first old coin is a 1787 Connecticut copper, a 1781 1/2 Reale and two ornate dandy buttons. I love hunting for colonial coins/buttons and relics. Thank you for allowing to join the forum!!!!

Slainte,

Gary Inglis

Hello there everybody,

After a year of day dreaming about being a Pirate, my wife finally broke down and got me a metal detector (although, I was really hoping for a parrot first). I’m a total rookie at all of this, and to be quite honest, right now I’m just winging it. I’m from the Deland Florida area and I am interested in the adventure of looking for historical artifacts that have been lost to us for years more than I am any riches that could possibly be found. I am excited at any chance I can get to find an artifact and hopefully figure out its story. It must be in my nature, because I’m kind of a Sherlock Holmes type of guy. I’ve only been out hunting a few times with a friend of mine, and thus far I’ve found 56¢ in modern clad coins, a railroad spike, an old lock, and a lot of trash (I did think I found a ring on my last time out, but it turned out to be a beautiful pull tab from an old beer can. No worries, because it really wasn’t my size anyway lol). Anyways, I look forward meeting some of you, and learning everything I can about this hobby and the items I hopefully find. Happy hunting everyone!

Hello to All,

I am a Newbie from Ozark, Ar. I live in a part of the country that is rich with history, the Trail of Tears, The Civil War, Jesse James Gang, just to name a few, I have always believed I would find treasure and I think it may be just out my back door, so to speak.

Hi everyone, I'm new, an avid native American stone tool hunter from VA. I have been hunting now for a little over a year. It gives me a chance to enjoy nature and I like the surprise of the finds I come across.

Hello, my name is Kimberly, I am in Southern New Mexico. I found this site by searching for information on the Fenn treasure. I have found a few goodies... the first time I went in my front yard with a metal detector I found an old silver coin from a casino in Colorado and I have found jewelry in parks. There are several supposed treasures within driving distance of my home including Deming and Truth or Consequences areas. Would love to find an adventuring buddy, but not anyone TOO nutty...

Good luck everyone in your treasure hunting!

K
