Welcome to the site! Please post an introduction thread.

Hi! I'm am metal detectorist and prospector from Texas. I've heard about this site and am looking forward to hearing about this community. I'm interested in detecting places other than school yards and city parks but haven't gotten up the nerve to stop at interesting places to ask permission to hunt. I'd like to try arrowhead hunting but haven't researched it yet. My bucket list includes a trip to Cripple River.

Hello! I'm from SE MO and I'm going on my FIRST prospecting trip tomorrow. Yep, Crater of Diamonds! haha. I'm going for the experience; digging, classifying, etc. I figure that's as good a place as any to start. Plus, since I'm alone, I'll feel safe in my tent. However, at the last minute, I may take my Apache and do some boondocking close to Mt. Ida or the Coleman Mine (both in AR).

Eventually, in late summer, I'd like to make a trip to CO in the Manitou Springs area. Set up camp on gov't land for a couple of weeks and see what happens.

I picked my username in honor of my first prospecting trip!

Welcome Aboard Beauscoins! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

Hello! This is Trapper from nc. Hope everyone is doing good, just trying to learn how to navigate this site. LoL

Hello My name is Laury. I am from Mason Ohio. I am not new to treasure hunting and or metal detecting itself but I am new to this site. Love it by the way. Are there any groups or threads centered around Ohio? My Daughter, son in law and I are planning to do Treasure Quests and document our travels via a VLOG. We are currently researching local Ohio Lost treasure legends to see which one we want to head out on first. This site has so much great info on all sorts of things related to treasure hunting so thank you for letting me join.

Hi everyone, my name is Mike and I live in West Texas. Long time coin collector of circulated coins, newbie metal detector and just bought my first detector a week ago. Like reading the posts on detecting and in particular Coin Shooting. I hope to learn a lot about how to find older coins no longer in circulation and possibly joining a Club in my area.

Hi Everyone! I came across this site when I was searching for any other Mystery Hunts in the Hemet or San Jacinto areas. My sister and I are planning a Mystery Hunt here in Hemet for the summer but that's only if we get enough participants. Anyway, I'm looking forward to browsing this site and seeing what it's all about.

....What is a Mystery Hunt ?

Been a lurker here for a couple weeks. New to prospecting but have been doing lots of research and have been somewhat successful so far. I currently prospect in the Klamath mountain region of Southern Oregon / Northern CA. I have a Garrett AT Gold, High banker and misc panning gear. Would like to find others interested in prospecting in my immediate area.

Welcome from the Oregon coast!

Historylady here. New to this site from Michigan. Looking forward to conversing with other serious detectors. Currently looking for another Mine Lab CTX 3030 owner to discuss settings for gold prospecting in North Carolina. I have never been there, heard much about it, but also read everywhere that it is hard to find places to detect. Sure could use some direction.

Hello! Hoover,Al new member. Looking forward to retirement & time to MD. Thanks for the site & all the great members & information. Using my Garrett Grand Master till I decide on a new machine. Look forward to a great time on the site.

Hi, I am from Idaho and my grandpa was a rock hound, died when I was to young to teach but I love rocks, every time I pick up a pretty rock and show my husband he say's yep a rock, so thought I would come here to find out more about rocks and treasures. Have a facebook page where our motto is keep on searching and we hunt for many things. So love finding other hunters to pick your brains. And of coarse coming from the gem state, rocks can be profitable, My husband and I are no longer legally responsible for feeding our children and can hit the road so heading out on a "you dig" trip, we will be digging fossils and garnets, gold and sapphires, crystals and opal, and geoids if we have the time. I hope to post video reviews of each on my f/b page and here. Heads up I know nothing about rocks so have lots of questions on that. Thanks in advance, I'll try not to drive you all crazy with my stupidity.
