Weird statue

I found this weird statue on boxing day about five years ago for some time it has been lost to me but just recently I stumbled across it during a clean out, I have tried to research the statue without any luck, it stands three inches high on a square base and is quite heavy and it looks to be made of bronze, as you can tell from the pictures it is two figures one holding a smaller one on the knee with crude features, there are two piercing where it might have been worn around the neck and that's about all I can tell you about it your views would be appreciated especially PBK.

I'm no expert on these things(far from it !), but it doesn't look like a very good replica
at all. I will go along with saying that some artisan was striving for a similar rendition of
the original, but overall, not a very true copy. One of the main differences to me are the eyes......just my 2 cents.

Either a bad casting or item tumbled in stream or river for quite some time.

PBK Just went from 15 minutes of fame up to 1/2 hour of fame.

Nice ID, right down to the fact that one leg is extended and the other folded over. The big question is where you found it and how old it might be. Anybody have contact information for an Indian antiquities dealer? I know that there was a lot of trade with India in the 17th and 18th centuries, but I don't know the history of the UK's involvement with this. Anyone have any more info?

Good call PBK thats the closest thing I have seen to my statue there are a lot of similarities the only cocern I have is the lack of the trunk, there is nothing broken of the statue I have I was wondering if mine was an earlier version TK.
