Started out going to a homestead that I got permission to hunt at the end of last year. 5 hour hunt, and the first 3 hrs. was basically like last year. Alot of STUFF. I don't mind digging the heavy iron. Between last year and the last hunt, I have about 80# of it. I figure by the end of the year, I might be able to have enough to look at a new TOY!

Then I dug the Hawaiian Punch can. It was at about 6", and the more I uncovered , the more I was thinking, "is this my first cache?" :laughing7:How much is a can of sand worth?:laughing7:

Moved on, and later found the pocket watch. Well what's left of it! Later that night did some research on the name and serial, and it was made in the 1850's. There's the one piece that made the whole day!

I started for home, and when I got there I still had the itch to dig a little more. So I decided to finally put my stock coil on for the first time. I've alway's used my 5 x 8 coil because of the trashy area's I hunt.

I went over an area in front of the house, where I've found 3 IHC's , wheaties, and a Merc.. I've been over this roughly 800 sq. ft. area at least 6 times before. Wasn't long, and I dug the IH and the wheatie. They were deeper then the other's, which was probably why I didn't pick them up with the 5X8. Very surprised, and very excited to get back out to the homestead with my new best friend. Mr. Stock!

Thanks for looking & Happy Hunting!

Good job on the Indians. The Hawaiian punch can brings back a lot of memories.
