I had the pleasure of hunting with TNetter, Todd Lipe, this weekend. He had one of his secret honey holes lined up. However... upon arrival, I immediately noticed sloppy plugs, then plain old holes, where an uninvited guest had not even bothered to put the dirt back in the holes. We were both disappointed, to say the least.

The disappointment faded as my first hole contained a '43 Merc! From the looks of things the other guy (or girl... probably a girl, we will call her "Nancy") was unable to locate any of the deeper targets. All of the good targets were 6" deep at least. The next good target was an old green three cent spill... 1916, 1918 and 1897! Woo Whoo IHC!

I got another deep signal, about 7" down a large green coin appeared, it turned out to be a 1908 Canadian cent! We do not see (m)any of those around here.

I managed to wrestle two buffalos from the ground, both dated.. 1919 and 1935.

I also found the remains of a charm bracelet and some other junk... broken key, thimbles and junk ring.

It was a very nice weekend, and I owe Todd big time!

Thanks for looking, and good luck on your hunts!

Here is a pic of Nancy's work... note the rock piles beside the gapping hole! Classy, huh?

Good hunt, was a very productive place finding that many targets after what must have been a "few" hunts.
Good condition on all your "greenies"

Nice Tom . Glad to see that sloppy chump missed the goodies.

Steve

Nice digs. Very nice hunt, I like the Injuns.

Thanks Steve. All of the good targets were 6" or deeper, so I guess Nancy was not proficient at more than one aspect of MDing... whew, good thing for Todd and I.

Smittyman and I are coming to Philly on Thursday... we are going to perform a "reverse Sherman" on the North! Beware!

Im glad you had a good time this weekend it was a good hunt ,but enough cant be said about how awful another hunter left their holes. Had to be the worst ive ever seen, looked like holes were dug with a big shovel and no dirt was put back in holes. We spent a lot of time filling them up and picking up all the trash they dug up. Look what happens when you buy me chicken dinners and Copenhagen....... Congrats on all youre great finds, but your days are numbered now that I be learning the Deus better.

Jesus some people are ruthless, check out what I found yesterday 20150531_094301.jpg

Great hunt specially the way things looked to be a total disaster, Congrats!!

You did pretty good with some Sweet looking coins, dates off both buffalo's was really nice. That IH is great shape too and a silver.
I really like that skeleton key myself.

Not a bad hunt at all except having to clean up after the jerk before you.
