...NOT A DAMN THING!! :dontknow: :dontknow:

First off, I have to say to all you beach hunters out there....Good for you! :occasion14:...It takes a-lot of patience and swinging. Much more than land hunting.

I ended up going to visit family for the holidays and got an Air BnB on Estero Island ( Fort Myers Beach). Perfect location, it was quiet, not a-lot of traffic and beautiful weather.

My sons and I were pretty much hunting from 5pm-2am every day, a couple days were went early to catch the low-tide.

All and all, it was a great trip. I clocked in around 20-25 hours of hunting while I was there.

Here are my finds....about 35 cents and a ton of can slaw. I did find 3 coins stuck together out in the water, not sure if they are Spanish Silver or Spanish Copper....gotta be Spanish thou :laughing7:

I did end up with many varieties of pull tabs....so I got that going for me

I have cut way back on all my digging since June. The bay beaches were ok this year. Got a ton of sinkers which were sold for scrap, my daughter did that. One piece of gold, some junker jewelry which I never posted, kids toys, fish lures, not lots of can slaw. But I really did not put much effort into it.

My last time at the beach ~ Ocean Isle Beach NC. Yield - 1 Skoal can and 1 bottle cap. Bonus was being caught in a thunder storm.

Point me to some good spots Digging n Dumps, send me a PM. I won't be back down that way til June?

You might have something there. Those coins do look silver. Can you get them apart to see if there is more detail on one side?

Im actually building my electrolysis set up at work, they should be cleaned within the next hour . Im hoping to have an ID after that...Stay Tuned!

Good times! The coins stick together are intriguing. Keep us posted. I'm sure You'll try to get them apart:laughing7:
Congrats!!!

UPDATE!!

Well, I did my first successful electrolysis on the coin clump and was able to ID 2 of them...

1979 Claddy Dime and a couple memorials. :tongue3:

I really wasn't expecting anything, but of course you always want to stay positive.

The best part was I did my first electrolysis and never realized how easy it was!

The coins took maybe 10 minutes total. I cleaned out the solution a couple times because it was pitch black within a minute.

My Problem now is....All I can think about is plating coins this weekend. :headbang:
