A much cooler day today saw us back in yesterdays field. Isn’t life good when the only decision to make in the morning is which field to wander about in! 😍

Well my first target was meters from the truck, and oh my days another Vesica Seal 😍… interestingly the first one I ever found was in this bit of the field… 🤔….! Then himself found this fabulous elephant head…. Which lead to a bizarre phone call….

Him: how’s it going?
Me: Awesome Vesica Seal and musket balls… how bout you
Him: I’ve found an elephant head…..
Me: of course you have… you can show me at lunch..Bye.

Tobacco pot lid (I think) pot leg, tack pins, musket with brick embedded, flat lead disk… muskets balls, weird tack boss buttons, lots of pre dec, have yet to clean them, (a pesky job if I’m honest) …. And of course my tiny hammered (yet to ID) ….

Obligatory views of the castle… there has been a castle here since Will the Conq. …. But the one you see was built in the 1800s…. In case you wondered. Xx

Some trimming was happening back in the day, I may say.
Now holy Dumbo himself wasn't fibbing.
I imagine that was some pretty when it had all the sparkling stones still.

Thanks Peps xx yes the hammy is missing some bits… alas!! Not often you find an elephant in Leicestershire 😂… have put the seal on Facebook seal page.. so hopefully a genius on there may be able to decipher it!! But will take it to the FLO in friday.. for a definite ID! xx 🤗
