So.....A friend of mine was at a church home team meeting, and a couple's prayer request was that they needed to buy a new wedding ring for the husband because he lost his in the flower garden in October 2006. She is pregnant and they didn't want to spend money on a new ring. It just so happened my friend said, "Hey, I have some friends that metal detect a lot. Maybe they can come over and find it." The husband replied that they had rented a detector and found a big bag of nothing! But, they would love us to come out and give it a try. We went on a saturday morning. It was a nice challenge for us because there was quite a bit of cement with rebar in it and we kept flashing off. It took us an hour......but we found it! They were thrilled, and so were we. They had purchased Starbucks gift cards in advance of us coming over that they were giving us whether we found the ring or not. How cool is it to be an answer to prayer. I LOVE THIS HOBBY!

Great job and Congrats!!!!!!!!!!

That is a really sweet story. Gives me hope that there are beautiful Christian women out there that metal detect. I couldn't ask for anything more!

Iskuli,

Great work with finding that ring. Good feeling too I'd bet.

How do you like that Classic ID? ???

I've got my Mother-In-Law's here with me and have not used it much yet.

I really like my classic ID! It is an older model, but it hasn't slowed me down one bit! It doen't tell me depth of the item, or when the battery is getting low (I always carry extra batteries). It also misses good stuff more than 8 inches; however, reading the posts on treasurenet even with the most expensive machines the experts say to DIG IT ALL! I ended the year with 75 rings. $276 in clad bank turn-in! And over 26 silver coins! I found the harder I work the luckier I get. Yep! I like my classic just fine!

Congrats and thanks for sharing this inspirational story.
It really doesn't get much better then this huh.
You will be rewarded in many ways. WTG!!

Smiles!

We sure can't go wrong with digging more of everything if we have the time to do it.
