Seen this one before. Trying to ID and date this coat sized button. Back mark says… Waterbury CO'S Waterbury CONN

It looks a little like a Confederate Script button, no idea what the "S" would mean though

The date would be after 1943 when Waterbury switched the name to include Companies, plural, as indicated on the backmark.
Waterbury lists it as a career uniform button, with no specic intended purpose: Waterbury? "S" Dress Coat Buttons (10 Count)

It's listed as a "Career Uniform Button" for security or sheriff ... still available from Waterbury.
