Went to a yard sale(ys) last Fri. had spent all my cash at ealier sales so I called the wife to bring more after she got off from work while I stayed at this sale and guard all the goodies I picked out. These items were all choice I was getting sterling silver(ss) rings for a quarter each ss bracelets 1.50 best was 10k toapz earings $5.
Wife gets there with the money they start to bagging the goods I was trying to keep what I wanted in sight. After paying we decide to go to a resturaunt and cull the items and converse about our day. At the resturaunt I look for the jewerlery and it is not to be found, now I am ticked
so my wife goes to the ys and tells the lady that was bagging what happened she said "I placed them in the bag with all the baby clothes" my wife said "we didn't buy any baby clothes" the lady said "oh I'm sorry" .They returned our money for the missing items took our number JIC the lady that got the bonus items returned them, MY PHONE never rang.
The sale was a sucess since anyway I was able to get a trek alumunium bike trailer for a $10, a 18 Qt oven looked as it it never had been used $10 ,digital george foreman grill $3, 5Qt stainless steel pot $2 , 4qt pot $1, but the jewels was the first time I got to a sale and asked you have any jewerlery they said oh we forgot and went inside and returned with 2 coke flats filled with zip lock bags prepriced items. I was going to polish all the silver and who knows what after but what a bummer for me. Hope the baby is a girl she will have a stocked jewerlery box.
This yard sale was one that if I had a truck I would have said look what do you want for all this stuff and you call it a day tell me what you think it is worth and I will call the comittee to see if we can arrange that. And buy it all becasue I could have made a profit on that sale for sure they were selling all of it too low even for a ys.
