Still in the 50's here in the Windy City, amazing! Walking in the woods, doing some scouting, looking for structures. Saw something shiny in the leaves at the side of the trail. Funny, I used to walk head up, now, I walk head down, looking for stuff on the ground. Well, anyhow, went over and picked up a shiny Seiko watch - time and date correct, still running! Looks like the kind of watch I used to wear when I could still jog - lots of bells and whistles to time things. My watches still have bells and whistles, but now, it is all about compass headings. Times change, interests change, abilities change. Wife says it won't be long until I get lost in the bathroom. Closer than she knows! Saw no ruins, did see lots of road apples, but wasn't hungry. Went to a local school to get in some swinging in the chips, where I picked up the ring (my 2nd in as many days) and the earring and a handful of clad. Got tired, went home for a nap. Retirement is great, so is this hobby! How can people be bored when they retire?

Nice finds and post Rick! A jeweler could fix that watch up for a few bucks and, if you have a few old watches laying around, you might be able to repair it yourself. HH, Mike
